Today I am standing here to talk to you all about the “International week of science and peace.” The International Week of Science and Peace was first observed during 1986 as part of the observance of the International Year of Peace. In recognition of the value of the annual observance, the General Assembly adopted resolution 43/61 in December 1988, which proclaims the “International Week of Science and Peace”, to take place each year during the week in which 11 November falls. This Week encourages greater academic exchanges on a subject of universal importance while also generating greater awareness of the relationship of science and peace among the general public.   Ways to reduce green house gas emissions Green house gasses are gasses that absorb and emit radiant energy within the thermal infrared range, causing the greenhouse effect. The primary greenhouse gases in Earth's atmosphere are water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrogenous oxide, and ozone. Greenhouse gases have far-ranging environmental and health effects. They cause climate change by trapping heat, and they also contribute to respiratory disease from smog and air pollution. Extreme weather, food supply disruptions, and increased wildfires are other effects of climate change caused by greenhouse gases. There are many easy ways to reduce green house gas emissions. These are things that you can do at home. This way you can also be a tremendous help to the environment wherever you are! First and most importantly are the 3 R’s. August Home Activity  I had decided to bake cookies again like my February activity but using a different recipe to see how it would turn out.I explored the creativity part of CAS by straying from the original recipe and make something different. It turned out great and I absolutely loved the experience!
