World Cancer Day!

 World Cancer Day!

World Cancer Day every 4th February is the global uniting initiative led by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC). By raising worldwide awareness, improving education and catalyzing personal, collective and government action, we're working together to re-imagine a world where millions of preventable cancer deaths are saved and access to life-saving cancer treatment and care is equal for all, no matter who you are or where you live.

Created in 2000, World Cancer Day has grown into a positive movement for everyone, everywhere to unite under one voice to face one of our greatest challenges in history.

Each year, hundreds of activities and events take place around the world, gathering communities, organizations and individuals in schools, businesses, hospitals, marketplaces, parks, community halls, places of worship, in the streets and online, acting as a powerful reminder that we all have a role to play in reducing the global impact of cancer.

This day is celebrated to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment. World Cancer Day is led by the Union for International Cancer Control to support the goals of the World Cancer Declaration, written in 2008.

The Charter of Paris Against Cancer, which was created to promote research, prevent cancer, improve patient services, also included an article establishing the anniversary of the document's official signing as World Cancer Day, was signed at the Summit by the then General Director of UNESCO.

This is a day to cherish end enjoy, to celebrate the people who have overcome cancer and the people who are going through it, and the people who have gone through it but have sadly moved on. Its a day to raise awareness for this disease and to spread the word of its causes and how to prevent it from happening at the most. Everyone celebrate world cancer day and try do something good today which would help people realize the seriousness of this day and take part in it actively.

Vaccine Drive

Covid Vaccine   The Covid Vaccine is one of the most discussed topics of all time. With the vaccine spreading rapidly, we needed to generate a cure faster than ever. Unfortunately we found it quite hard to do so. Finally after a lot of testing, and lockdowns to protect people the best they could, we had found a vaccine. This vaccine was not of just one type. Many people from different countries tried to develop vaccines and some countries succeeded. However, only one to two vaccines are currently accepted worldwide. This is very inconvenient to a majority of people who need to travel for important reasons, and can’t get across the country. The vaccines were approved based on success rates and many vaccines had similar success rates but not all of them were accepted. This very much affects allot of countries in a bad way. The vaccines used to be free when they came out. But now since the demand is way higher, people are having to pay for the vaccines, which is absolut...

The day is used to advocate for the sustainable management of freshwater resources. The theme of each day focuses on topics relevant to clean water, sanitation and hygiene (wash), which is in line with the targets of Sustainable development goal 6. The UN world water development report (WWDR) is released each year around World Water Day.  World Water Day, held on 22 March every year since 1993, celebrates water and raises awareness of the 2.2 billion people living without access to safe water. It is about taking action to tackle the global water crisis. Today, water is under extreme threat from a growing population, increasing demands of agriculture and industry, and the worsening impacts of climate change. As societies balance the demands on water resources, many people’s interests are not being taken into account.  This year ́s theme Worl...
