Vaccine Drive

Covid Vaccine

The Covid Vaccine is one of the most discussed topics of all time. With the vaccine spreading rapidly, we needed to generate a cure faster than ever. Unfortunately we found it quite hard to do so. Finally after a lot of testing, and lockdowns to protect people the best they could, we had found a vaccine.

This vaccine was not of just one type. Many people from different countries tried to develop vaccines and some countries succeeded. However, only one to two vaccines are currently accepted worldwide. This is very inconvenient to a majority of people who need to travel for important reasons, and can’t get across the country.

The vaccines were approved based on success rates and many vaccines had similar success rates but not all of them were accepted. This very much affects allot of countries in a bad way. The vaccines used to be free when they came out. But now since the demand is way higher, people are having to pay for the vaccines, which is absolutely outrageous. Vaccines are not very easily available nowadays and priority is not being given to the right people. It’s all going down to the money.

So I, with the help of my family, decided to set up a vaccine drive for 3 communities. We successfully vaccinated over 200 people. It was an amazing experience, being able to help so many people and be a part of this beautiful process.

We started at 6 in the morning and completed my community first, Casa Grande. Then we moved on to the next community at around 2 o clock after a quick lunch break for the staff and us. The next community was Iva Agam. Next we finished the vaccination process there and moved on to the next community which was Shreevatsa, at around 5 o clock. Everything got over at about 9 o clock in the evening.

Overall the experience was thrilling and amazing! I absolutely loved it. I learned so much in every department. I learnt how to administer the vaccine. I also learned to work at the registration desk. We were very careful to avoid contact with other people.

Everything was remotely done through OTP (one time password). Social distancing was maintained at all time. This experience really helped me increase my knowledge skills. I learnt so much, and it was nice doing a service to fellow people!

Below I am attaching some pictures of this beautiful event!

World Water Day

World Water Day World Water Day is an annual United Nations observance day held on 22 March that highlights the importance of fresh water. The day is used to advocate for the sustainable management of freshwater resources. The theme of each day focuses on topics relevant to clean water, sanitation and hygiene (wash), which is in line with the targets of Sustainable development goal 6. The UN world water development report (WWDR) is released each year around World Water Day.  World Water Day, held on 22 March every year since 1993, celebrates water and raises awareness of the 2.2 billion people living without access to safe water. It is about taking action to tackle the global water crisis. Today, water is under extreme threat from a growing population, increasing demands of agriculture and industry, and the worsening impacts of climate change. As societies balance the demands on water resources, many people’s interests are not being taken into account.  This year ́s theme Worl...
