Relation Of Tokyo Olympics to Strands of CAS

TOKYO OLYMPICS

CAS:-
C – Creativity
A – Activity
S – Service

TOKYO OLYMPICS:-

  • The 2020 Summer Olympics, officially known as Tokyo 2020, is an upcoming international multi-sport event.
  • The upcoming Tokyo Olympics is to be held from 23 rd July to 8 th August 2021 in Tokyo.

Overview:-

  • Dates: Fri, 23 Jul, 2021 – Sun, 8 Aug, 2021
  • Location: Tokyo

    CREATIVITY:-

The modern torch relay was actually originally inspired by ancient Greek drawings and writings of Plutarch. Dr. Carl Diem created the first relay from Olympia to Berlin as part of the opening ceremony of the 1936 Olympic games.
Here you can see a clear display of creativity. The famous torch relay, was inspired by, an artwork done with creativity! Its a very vital and important part of nearly every Olympic game.

The host organizing committee to add new sports to the Olympic program to augment the permanent core events, these Games will see karate, sport climbing, surfing, and skateboarding make their Olympic debuts, as well as the return of baseball and sofball for the first time since 2008.
New initiations taken to add a variety of sports to this years roster is a creative aspect. Not just sticking to the original and trying to change things up a bit.

    ACTIVITY:-

Activity is something that involves the aspect of health, physical well being, etc... So the variety of games that the athletes will take place in are all things that come under the strand; activity.
The preparation that goes into the training before actually performing at the Olympics is a form of activity. The fact that the setting up of all the cameras, equipment, landscape, basically every form of work can be called an activity.

    SERVICE:-

Service is like helping someone or influencing another person to fulfill something that is useful to our surroundings, whether it may be people or nature.
Entertaining people and broadcasting their Olympic sports for the rest of the world to watch instead of not being able to sit and watch live is a service.
Its providing entertainment for us and appreciation from us for the athletes participating to represent their country, and a pride for the people who are watching as well as participating!

    CONCLUSION:-

So in conclusion, I would like to say that CAS can be found in everyday things in life and can actually help understand and carry out things easily.
This activity helped me enhance my thinking and understanding skills. The best thing that I learned, is how to analyse things in much more detail, and relate them to real life topics.
Overall this activity was quite fun and it was a great learning experience. Thank you!

Women's Day

Women's Day International Women's Day is a global holiday celebrated annually on March 8 to commemorate the cultural, political, and economic achievements of women. It is also a focal point in the women's rights movement, bringing attention to issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence against women. International Women’s Day originated from labor movements in North America and Europe during the early 20th century.  International Women's Day is commemorated in a variety of ways worldwide; it is a public holiday in several countries, and observed socially or locally in others. The UN observes the holiday in connection with a particular issue, campaign, or theme in women's rights. In some parts of the world, International Women’s Day still reflects its political origins, being marked by protests and calls for radical change; in other areas, particularly in the West, it is largely sociocultural and centred on a celebration of womanhood.  The da

In Bangladesh, 21 February is the anniversary of the day when the people of Bangladesh (then East Pakistan) fought for recognition for the Bangla Language.
